Napoleon Candy

The bonbon with an imperial story.

We take you to Antwerp, 1912. In the confectionery ‘In de Gouden Bol’ owner Louis invented a new sweet. His sugar balls filled with a flavoursome powder became a huge success. Only a good name still had to be found. When Louis spoke to a chocolatier friend who had named his new praline Caesar, Louis had his eureka moment: he would call his sweet Napoleon. And we can now safely say that of these two great names Napoleon sweets convincingly emerged as the winner.

These days Napoleon is made in Breskens. There was already a confectionery there owned by the Van Melle family. By combining the knowledge of the two companies, there is now a healthy business with a passion for the products they make.

Napoleon sweets at your reception desk or in the canteen.

Napoleon has kept developing. New flavours still appear, such as the Napoleon fruit mix and the Napoleon liquorice balls. Fortunately they at Napoleon know where their strength lies because one thing always remains the same: they are delightfully sweet balls with a surprising powder core.

Because the sweets are individually wrapped, they are perfectly suitable for handing out. For example, place a bowl of Napoleon sweets on the reception desk for your visitors. It looks colourful and gives your visitors a good first impression right away. With a tasty Napoleon tropical in the mouth, waiting is no hardship. Now you might think: but sweets are terribly unhealthy, right? Indeed, sweets generally do not contain nutrients we need daily. But nobody is harmed by a moment of happiness while enjoying a sweet. Moreover, Napoleon is a slow-candy: you typically spend 6 minutes on one ball. That’s much better than a handful of liquorice you swallow within a minute, isn’t it?

A bowl of Napoleon also looks good in the canteen or office. Do you always fancy a little sweet after lunch? You are not the only one: put out a bowl of Napoleon and you will see your colleagues enjoy them as much as you do. Tired of coffee breath at some point? Or do you have a colleague with coffee breath? Put a bowl of Napoleon lempur in the office for fresh breath.
